AMAZON SURVIVAL JUNGLE TRIPS 3D/2N

Joshua’s Amazon Expeditions guide you on an Amazon survival tour for people interested in having maximum of contact with the nature, learning in the process as much possible about the forest. This trip is done to the south of Manaus in the Juma area, 100 kilometres away from the city. On this tour all nights are spent camping in the Amazon Jungle.

Activities:

A boat ride to the meeting of the waters (the point where the Negro river meet the Solimões river) see the water lilies, piranha fishing, cayman spotting at night, spear fishing, dolphin watching, bird watching, jungle trekking, canoeing in the flooded forest (from April to August when the water level is high), visiting the local people, camping in the forest. This tour can be done with the minimum of 2 people and maximum of 6.

ITINERARY

Day -1

At 8am is the Transfer from the hotel to the Ceasa port. There a speed-boat is used to take the group to the meeting of the waters (the point where the Negro river and the Solimões river meet). From there the group is taken to the village of Careiro da vazea on the other side of the river. The entire Boat-ride takes about 40 minutes. At Careiro da vazea the journey continues by car for about 50 minutes to the River Paraná do Mamori. From there the last part of the journey is by speed-boat for about 45 minutes reaching the lodge around 11:30am . At 2:30pm the activities begin, the group leaves by motorized to the camping place for the next days , there you will set up camp get everything fix and at night leave for Cayman spoting .overnigth.

Day - 2

At 5:30am a canoe trip is done to watch the sunrise and to get a close up view of the forest waking up to a new day. At 7am breakfast is served and then at 8am a jungle walk starts and it goes up to 11:30am. During the walk, the guide explains valuable information about the forest. Much is learned about medicinal plants, spiders, trees and there is even a chance of seeing monkeys. The afternoon activity starts at 3pm. It is canoeing in the flooded forest and in the small channels. It is a great opportunity to see and learn about the flora and fauna of this fantastic Amazon jungle and also go fishing for some piranhas. Overnight.

Day - 3

from 08am to 11am a visit is made to a local family house to learn about their simple and fantastic way of living in the forest. Back to the lodge for lunch and relax before getting back to Manaus. At 01:30pm is time to departure back to Manaus arriving around 04:30pm.
