AMAZON JUNGLE SURVIVAL TOUR 6D\5N

Joshua’s Amazon Expeditions lead on guided challenge trip in to the Amazon. This trip it is recommended for people interested in doing a long trekking in the jungle and spending more time camping. It starts with a three-day trekking at some point in the Amazon jungle and ends in another point also in the forest.

Please Note :

To do this tour it is necessary to be in a good shape to face the hardships of the forest such as uncertain weather and other possibility that may occur on a three-day trekking. The food consumed it is distributed to each person in the group and carried in the backpacks. It is mainly consisted of carbohydrates and proteins because carrying heavy food (weight) it’s not recommended on such a long walk. The water consumed is taken form the creeks, the same consumed by the natives, but with a difference: A water purifier will be taken along to purify the water.

Accommodation:

During the time in the forest, each member of the group takes along his hammock and mosquito net and a light plastic roll to protect himself in case of rain. The team: A guide accompanies the group along with two natives guides depending on the size of the group, this is necessary when extra things must be taken along.

Activities:

The activities included are piranha fishing, Cayman spotting at night, trekking, spear fishing, at night, canoeing in the flooded forest and channels, bird watching, dolphin watching, sloths and monkey watching.

ITINERARY

Day -1

The tour starts at 8am when you are taken by car from the hotel to the Ceasa Port on the right bank of the Negro River about 20 kilometers from Manaus. From there a speed-boat takes you to the meeting of the waters (the point where the Negro r and the Solimões Rivers meet). On the other side of the river arrive at the village of Careiro. From there, a car or van will take you to the Paraná do Mamori River. Another one hour trip by speed-boat takes you to the lodge. Arrive at around 11:30am. Lunch is served at 12:30pm and the afternoon an activity starts at 2:30pm. It is a canoe trip to watch dolphins, birds, do piranha fishing and finally the watching of the sunset at about 6:30pm. Dinner is served at 7pm and then at about 8:30pm Cayman spotting is done. Everyone leaves in a canoe and your guide literally snatches a Cayman out of the water explaining about the reptile which is then returned to its habitat.

Day - 2

At 5:30am a canoe awaits you to watch the sunrise and to get a close up view of the forest waking up to a new day. From 8am to 11am a visit is made to a local family house. Participate of a typical day in the life of the local people. The afternoon activity starts at 3pm. It is canoeing in the flooded forest and small channels. It is a great opportunity to see and learn more about the flora and fauna of this fantastic Amazon jungle.

Day - 3

At around 9pm guests leave the lodge to overnight in the jungle and begging the challenge trekking where is the high light of this trip.

Day - 4, 5

Dedicate on Trekking in the Amazon jungle and overnight. Day six- End they trekking and get back to the juma floating lodge for lunch and also a chance to have swim our a shower before getting back to civilization .. At 01:30 pm is time to head back to Manaus arriving around 04:30pm .
