Joshua's Amazon Expeditions will led you on an Amazon Jungle trip where you will have the chance to explore the amazon in short time and get closer to the nature and also learn more about the rainforest and the people that live among the river sides. Activities: Visit the meeting of the waters, piranha fishing, spear fishing at night, dolphin watching, sunrise and sunset watching, jungle trekking, Cayman spotting and visit the local people. In the rainy season (from April to August), canoeing is possible in the flooded forest and in small channels (creeks). The lodge. The Juma floating lodge its located 100 kilometers south of Manaus in the Juma reserve which is an area rich in flora and fauna. The lodge was built over special thongs of trees on the water preserving the natural environment which is very important for forest preservation. The accommodation is in private rooms with air conditioning, fans and a bathroom. It is a simple and clean place, perfect for small groups interested in exploring the Amazon Jungle. The capacity of the lodge is 24 people. The lodge has electricity with 110 volts which provides clients with the opportunity to recharge batteries of equipment such as cameras and others. Day one: At 08:00 am Your Amazon Jungle Trips begin, you are transferred from your hotel to the Ceasa port where a speed boat takes tourists to the meeting of the waters, the point where the Rio Negro and Solimões River meet. From there you are taken to the Careiro Village on the other side of the Solimões River. The excursion continues by car (van) for about an hour to Mamori River. A final trip by speedboat takes you to the lodge arriving there at approximately 11:30am. At 3pm, the activities begin. Leave the lodge by canoe to do dolphin and bird watching, piranha fishing, ending the day watching a spectacular sunset at about 6:30pm and then head back to the lodge for dinner. At night a thrilling experience of Cayman spotting. Day two: At 5:30am you are taken by canoe to watch the sunrise of a new day in the Amazon rainforest. Return to the lodge around 07:00am for breakfast. Shortly after do a jungle trek that takes up the rest of the morning. During the walk, much is learned about medicinal plants, trees, insects such as spiders and there is even a chance of seeing monkeys. The afternoon activity starts at 3pm. A canoeing adventure in the flooded forest and small channels. Spend some hours quietly passing through the exuberant Amazon jungle while observing the flora and fauna explained to you by native guides. Day three: From 8am to 11am, visit the home of a local family to learn about their simple but fantastic way of life in the forest. Return to the lodge for lunch and at about 1:30pm depart to Manaus arriving there at approximately 4:30pm and the end of your Amazon Jungle trip.
