Itinerary

At 8 am you are picked up at your hotel and your Amazon Jungle Tour from Manaus begins! You’ll be transferred from the hotel to the Ceasa port, where you’ll board a speedboat to navigate through the Rio Negro. Continue on to the meeting of the waters, the point where the Rio Negro and the Solimoes River meet. Then it’s off to the fishing village of Careiro da Várzea on the other side of the Solimoes River. From there, continue by car or van for about an hour to the Parana Do Mamori River. The group will then board a speedboat for another 30 minutes to arrive at the Lodge at around 11:30 am. Lunch is served promptly at noon. Get ready for an exciting and adventure-filled day in the Amazon Jungle!

At 2:30 pm, the group will leave by motorized boat to the first spot out in the jungle to set up camp. The guide will lay out the hammocks and mosquito nets, and then build a fire so that dinner can be prepared. After dinner, the group will sit around the fire and enjoy the first night out in the Amazon jungle. The guide will tell stories about the jungle and its many inhabitants, this experience will be one that nobody soon forgets.

A great way to start the day is with a canoe trip at 05:30 am to watch the sunrise and get a close-up view of the forest waking up to a new day. Afterward, breakfast is served at 07:00 am and then at 08:00 am a jungle walk starts. The walk goes until 11:30 am and it is led by a guide who explain valuable information about the flora and fauna of the Amazon Jungle. You can learn about medicinal plants, spiders, and trees and sometimes there is a chance to spot some monkeys. This is a great activity to do first thing in the morning to get an up-close look at the Amazon Jungle.

The Amazon jungle is full of amazing wildlife, and the afternoon canoeing activity is a great opportunity to spot some of it. Paddling through the flooded forest and small channels, keep your eyes peeled for monkeys, toucans, macaws, and more. After the canoeing session, it’s back to camp to prepare dinner. Then, after dinner, the group leaves by boat for a little night-time adventure: cayman spotting. With the help of a guide, you’ll get up close and personal with these prehistoric reptiles, learning all about their habits and ecology. It’s an experience you won’t soon forget!

Hiking through the jungle is a daunting task, but with the right preparation it can be an immensely rewarding experience. From 08:00 am to 11:00 am, the group will leave on another jungle trek to explore more of the Amazon, and what can be used to survive in it, like fruits, plants, and other creatures that can be found in the jungle. After, it’s back to camp to prepare lunch on the fireside.

After lunch, the group packs up and heads to a new spot to set up camp for the night. Once camp is set up, everyone grabs their fishing gear and hops in the boat. You head to a nearby river to try your luck at catching some piranhas and other fish. After a few hours of fishing, you return to camp with your catch. You clean and prepare the fish for dinner, then sit down to enjoy a delicious meal. Afterwards, you grab your spear and head back out to the river for some nighttime fishing. Using only a harpoon and flashlight, you manage to catch a few more fish before heading back to camp for the night.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and that’s especially true when you’re spending a day out in the jungle. A hearty breakfast will give you the energy you need to power through a day of exploring, and it will help to keep your mind sharp as you take in all the new sights and sounds of the jungle. After breakfast, we’ll be heading out by boat to navigate through the channel and small creeks. This is a great opportunity to spot some of the local wildlife, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for birds and other animals. Once we reach our destination, we’ll set up camp for the night and prepare lunch. Then it’ll be time to explore all that the jungle has to offer.

After a morning of exploration, the group will set out on a short hike in a new part of the jungle. As the sun begins to set, they will make their way back to camp. Once night falls, they will board a boat and head out into the darkness, armed with only a flashlight and the guide’s spotlight. This is an excellent opportunity to see some of the nocturnal creatures that call the Amazon home. From birds and snakes to bats and spiders, there is an abundance of wildlife to be found in the jungle at night. After an exciting evening of safari, it will be time to head back to camp and get some rest before another day of adventure.

After a hearty breakfast, it’s time to explore the jungle and look for edible plants and insects. This is a great opportunity to learn about the different fruits and vegetables that grow in the Amazon, as well as what insects are safe to eat. The hike is tough, but it’s worth it when you find a juicy piece of fruit or a plump larva to munch on. The we head back to camp, in time for lunch.

After lunch, the group packs up and moves to a new spot to set up camp. Once everything is set up, they head out in the boat to fish. They use spears to catch fish, and return to camp where they cook the fish over the fire and enjoy a hearty meal. We then settle in for the night.

After a hearty breakfast, it’s time to explore the Várzea area of the Amazon. This region is a great place to spot some wildlife, including birds, monkeys, and other animals that live here. During the period of September to March, exploration is done by hiking; during other times of the year, it is done by boat. After a fun-filled day of exploration, it’s back to the base for lunch and some relaxation before getting back to Manaus. At 02:00 pm, it’s time to depart back to Manaus, arriving around 04:30 pm.
