Located 100km south of Manaus on the shores of Juma Lake and surrounded by forest, Boto Lodge offers a quiet, peaceful environment for you to rest and relax between activities.
Separate cabins provide extra privacy. Equipped with a double bed, two single beds, and air-conditioning, you can be sure of restful sleep. Additionally, there is an outdoor pool guest can use to cool off.
The Amazon rainforest is truly a wonder of the natural world. Home to an incredible diversity of plant and animal life, it is one of the most fascinating ecosystems on Earth. Visitors to the Amazon can experience its wonders firsthand with a three-day trip that includes stops at the meeting of the waters, a fish farm, and a stay at Boto Lodge in the jungle.
At the meeting of the waters, visitors can see where the Rio Negro and Rio Solimoes meet to form the mighty Amazon River. Visitors can also learn about the different fish species that call the Amazon home, including the Arapaima Gigas, which is the largest freshwater fish in the world.
During their stay at the lodge, visitors will have the chance to go birdwatching. They may also catch a glimpse of pink river dolphins swimming in the river or spot cayman basking in the sun. Throughout their stay, visitors will have ample opportunity to explore the jungle and learn about its many different plant and animal inhabitants.
The journey begins when we pick you up in Manaus. We head to Ceasa Port, where we board a speedboat, with a first stop along the Rio Negro river to the meeting of the waters, the black Rio Negro and brown Solimões never mix, giving this spot an otherworldly feel. Next, we will stop at the floating village of Catalão. Here you can visit a fish farm and see the Giant Arapaima Gigas, which are among Amazon’s most powerful creatures!
We’ll stop at the Careiro village after that. From there we will ride around for about an hour, then head to Maçarico Lake by speedboat. You’ll arrive at the lodge at around 11:30am, and a delicious lunch will be served at noon.
At 2:30pm we’ll head out on a canoe trip where you’ll have the chance to see the Amazon Pink River Dolphin and an array of colorful birds on your trip. Afterward, enjoy watching as the sun sets over all before finally returning back to the lodge. After an exciting day exploring, we head back on the waters at 8:30pm in search of the elusive Cayman. Your jungle guide will scoop one up, allowing you to see it up close, before carefully releasing it into its natural habitat once again!
This morning we’ll take a motorized boat at 5:30am to watch the jungle waking up to a new day, then head back to the lodge for a hearty breakfast. After, we’ll go on a morning trek. Your guide will share knowledge about medicinal plants along our walk, as well as all of those insects that call it home! You may even spot some of the local wildlife, including monkeys – they’re always fun when you don’t know what else is calling out (except maybe humans). Once the trek has been completed, it’s back to the lodge for lunch.
The afternoon activity starts at 3pm. The group will leave by motorized boat along the river banks to a fishing spot, where we will fish for several different species of piranha. During the trip, there are different species of birds and insects that can be spotted. Afterwards, we’ll return to the lodge for dinner.
Your early morning is spent exploring the Amazon! You’ll take a motorized boat at 5:30am to a serene spot where you will see the jungle waking up to a new sunrise. Back to the lodge for breakfast at 08:00 am, then to Várzea forest, an area flooded with many small channels and waterways. This trip will give you a unique perspective on this natural wonderland as we explore the flora & fauna found here. During the dry season when there’s no water from August- March, this trip will be done on foot. It is a great area for seeing animals like monkeys or sloths in their natural habitats. When we finish, it’s back to the lodge for lunch.
At 2:00 pm we begin our journey back to Manaus with an arrival scheduled for 4:30 pm at your hotel or airport.

Our goal is to provide the best possible experience for our customers, and we understand that plans can change. We have designed our cancellation policy to be as fair and transparent as possible, taking into consideration both your needs and our operational costs.
Cancellations made more than 2 days before the check-in date:
If you cancel your booking more than 2 days before your scheduled check-in date, you will receive a refund of the total amount paid minus a 15% cancellation fee. This fee covers currency exchange and banking fees, as well as any losses incurred due to exchange rate fluctuations.
Cancellations made within 2 days of the check-in date:
For cancellations made within 2 days of the check-in date, no refunds will be provided.
