Itinerary
Day 1
Travelers, you have just arrived in the enchanting city of Tabatinga! Upon arrival, your guide will meet you at the international airport, who will help you with the immigration paperwork to ensure a smooth check-in process. Afterward, you will be taken to the luxurious Hotel Tropical vibes, where you can relax and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere. In the evening, your guide will meet you for dinner and introduce you to your expedition schedule. Prepare for an unforgettable experience as you spend your first night in this exotic destination!
Day 2
Start your day with a delicious breakfast at 7:00 am, and then get ready to explore the city of Leticia and visit its ethnocultural museum for the next two hours! After that, you’ll travel to the port of Tabatinga to board a boat and cross the border to the Peruvian city of Islandia for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. After that, you’ll return to the hotel in Tabatinga for check-out before taking a fast boat for an hour to the small town of Atalaia do Norte. Once you arrive at the Castro Alves Pousada, you can relax and unwind before dinner at 7:00 pm
Day 3
Start your day with a delicious breakfast served from 7:00 am to 9:00 am. Then, at 9:30 am, hop in a car and drive off on the BR307 highway to reach the Marubo tribe. Get ready to experience their unique welcome ritual presentation, with the opportunity to be painted with natural paint and try some of their local drinks. Then, embark on an exciting jungle hike to visit the Matis tribe, witnessing their unique traditions and culture. After your visit, the car will take you to the Guesthouse in Atalaia do Norte Town, where a tasty lunch awaits. At 4:00 pm, you’ll depart the guest house and embark on a fast boat to reach the Heliconia Lodge along the Javari river. Keep your eyes peeled as you sail, spotting wildlife along the way. When you arrive, you’ll be welcomed and accommodated. Then, savor a delicious dinner before heading out on a night trip to search for caimans. Return to the lodge for a good night’s sleep.
Day 4
Start your day early with a delicious breakfast from 7:00 am – 9:00 am. Then, take an exciting boat ride to the local community of Santa Rita on the Peruvian side of the river, learning about the culture and way of life of the riverside. Unearth hidden secrets of the jungle as you hike into the area, spotting some wildlife and the magnificent Kapok tree, before returning to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a journey of discovery as you hike through the jungle, learning about the flora and fauna, as well as some survival techniques. Finally, finish your day with a hearty dinner at 7:00 pm before settling in for a night in the lodge.
Day 5
Start your Amazonian adventure with a delicious breakfast at the Jungle lodge, served from 5:00 am to 6:30 am. After that, you’ll board a fast boat and travel for 4.5 hours to the Kohanã indigenous tribe on the Javari river. Once you’re there, you’ll be welcomed according to the tribe’s traditions, with the option of experiencing body paint, rapé (snuff), and frog milk. After a traditional lunch at the Maloca Kanamari, the Chief of the tribe will guide the group on a tour of the culture, handicraft production, agriculture, and hunting methods. At 7:00 pm, dinner will be served in the same location, and soon after, you’ll be able to sleep in either hammocks or tents.
Day 6
Wake up to the stunning sunrise of a new day, and start off with a delicious breakfast served from 7:00 am to 9:00 am. Make sure to explore the tribe, take some beautiful photos, and interact with the locals during your free morning. Lunch will be served at 11:30 am. After a delicious meal, the group will return to the town of Atalaia do Norte, arriving at the Hotel Castro Alves at 5:30 pm. Enjoy dinner at 7:00 pm and prepare for a cozy night in the hotel. Make sure to take advantage of this day of exploration and culture to the fullest!
Day 7
Rise and shine! Join us on an adventure as we depart from the hotel at 6:00 am for a delightful breakfast. After fueling up, we’ll be taking the fast boat to Tabatinga. As soon as we arrive, we’ll be whisked away to the airport, where you can board your next flight and continue your journey. This expedition will be sure to leave lasting memories!
