Joshua’s Amazon Expeditions lead you on this Amazon Jungle Trip, were it is idealized for those interested in discovering the Amazon jungle in a more authentic way. That is, among the native people of the Amazon. The activities of this Jungle tour are similar to those of other packages but done with the local people out in the jungle.
At 8am you are pick up at your hotel and your Amazon Jungle Trip from Manaus begin, where you are transferred from the hotel to the Ceasa port. From the Ceasa Port the Group will be taking a speed boat to navigating true the Rio negro to the Floating village call Catalão, with a stop at one of the floating house that have a fish far for the Giant Arapaima Gigas (The biggest scale fish in the World). Here you will have the opportunity to see some fish and feed them and feel how strong this fish is. After visiting the fish far is time to continue the journey on the fast boat to the meeting of the waters, the point where the Rio Negro and the Solimões River meet .Then you continue to the Careiro Village on the other side of the Solimões River. From there continue by car or van for about an hour to the Maçarico lake. Continue by speed-boat arriving at the lodge at about 11:30am. Lunch is served at noon.
At 2:30pm. It is a canoe trip to watch dolphins, birds, do piranha fishing and finally the watching of the sunset at about 6:30pm. Dinner is served at 7pm and then at about 8:30pm Cayman spotting is done. Everyone leaves in a canoe and your Amazon Jungle Guide literally snatches a Cayman out of the water explaining about the reptile which is then returned to its habitat.
Early, at 5:30am take a canoe trip to watch the sunrise along with listening to the sounds of the rainforest waking up to a new day. Back at the lodge, have breakfast and then at 8am leave by boat to the sport were the jungle trek begins which takes up the rest of the morning (11:30am). During the walk, your guide shares valuable knowledge on the local medicinal plants, trees and insects such as spiders. If you are lucky, there is even a chance of spotting curious monkeys. Back to the Lodge, Lunch is served.
In the afternoon, at 3pm, the group will leave by boat to the sport among the river were will have the chance to fish for the Piranhas, and during the boat ride back to the lodge enjoy the sounds of the birds and other animals of the surrounding of the Amazon Jungle.
After dinner everyone get ready to go on the Night safari tour by boat and explore river banks. Your Amazon Jungle Guide will be searching for some wild life among the river’s banks and channel since most of the wild life is active during the night in the Amazon Jungle. back to the lodge and overnight.
Breakfast is served at 07:00am and after breakfast at 8am to 11am, the group will leave to visit the home of a local family that live among the river sides of the Amazon region and learn about their simple but fantastic way of life in the Amazon Jungle . On the way back to the lodge there is opportunity to go swimming in the river as well had have some fun like to local Amazon people. After lunch at 3pm the group leaves by boat to camp out in the jungle, sleeping in hammocks with mosquito nets.
Breakfast is served out in the jungle, them there will be another hiking, this trekking will be done in different area than before and here your Amazon Jungle Guide will explain more about that region, of plants and animals spot in that area. Back to the camp and take the boat back to the lodge so you have a chance to go swimming in the river and relax before the lunch. At 1:30pm they return to Manaus, getting there at about 4:30pm.
